A driveway designed to be seen
JTM Electrical was brought in to complete the lighting installation for this newly landscaped driveway, working from the landscaping team's lighting plans to bring the finished vision to life. Our role was to install the complete electrical infrastructure and lighting for the driveway, including 14 external light fittings, 8 bollard lights and 6 spike lights.
The result is a beautifully illuminated driveway that not only provides practical lighting, but creates a real feature after dark.
Bringing the design to life
The driveway and surrounding garden beds were designed and installed by a professional landscaping team, including the resin driveway and planting areas.
JTM Electrical was brought in to install the electrical cabling and lighting in accordance with the completed design.
With 14 lights positioned throughout the driveway, careful planning was needed to ensure each fitting was supplied correctly and positioned to achieve the desired effect once illuminated.
The installation included:
8 bollard lights
5 spike lights
Underground cabling to supply the lighting
Installation and connection of the external lighting system
From the initial cable installation through to the final lights being switched on, our job was to make sure the electrical side of the design was delivered safely and professionally.
With the driveway taking shape, the final lighting fittings were installed and positioned in line with the landscaping team's design.
The 8 bollard lights and spike lights were now in place, ready for the finishing landscaping touches and, ultimately, the moment they could be switched on after dark.
The finishing touches
The installation was complete. Now for the reveal…
Once the driveway and landscaping were complete, the lighting transformed the space after dark.
The combination of bollard lighting and carefully positioned uplighters creates depth, highlights the surrounding planting and gives the driveway a warm, welcoming finish.
The customer was over the moon with the final result and we can see why.
